I was opening my mouth to tear into him when the bell rang. We both turned and ran for Miss Flett’s classroom, pushing and shoving and trying to trip each other as we went. I’m not sure where the ogre went. Bullying 101, maybe.

Have I made it clear that Prince Roquefort is my least favorite person on earth? Scratch that. He’s my least favorite living thing on earth. I’d rather deal with a grumpy Slaughterbeast.

Roquefort shot me a nasty look as we settled into our desks. He mouthed something that looked like “You’re dead, troll.” (It also looked like “Horse head roll,” but that doesn’t make any sense, so I’m sticking with the first one.)

I turned the other way and saw Sierra smiling and giving me a “Calm down” gesture.
